Britain’s Most Expensive Homes – Uptown Court Surrey £36M

Today in our series of most expensive homes comes uptown court. The property which was initially valued at £70M was thought to be one of the worlds most expensive homes (and still is), however after being bought by a developer in 2002, who purchased it for £20M and spent £30M redecorating it, the property was left with no buyer in site. So after defaulting on his loan from an Irish Bank, there was no other choice but to sell for less and the property was sold for £36M.

The property has 5 swimming pools, including one which is attached to the master bedroom and an indoor bowling alley, among st other numerous amenities. Uptown Court located just outside Heathrow in a village called, Windlesham in Surrey is said to have a maintenance cost of £1M a year!
